Of Mice and Manuscript

3D mixed media canvas - Torn vintage book pages, hand-sculpted clay mice, hand-twisted textiles, dimensional paper elements, and acrylic bronze/sepia gilding paints.

This deeply atmospheric mixed media canvas captures a striking harmony between the structured world of literature and a secret, living ecosystem.
At the heart of the composition is a towering stack of hand-crafted antique books, meticulously layered to give a strong sense of weight and history.
The background is a rich, sepia-washed canvas built from a collage of torn book pages.
Bringing this enchanted landscape to life is a tiny community of inquisitive mice, subtly hand-sculpted from clay and finished in rich, burnished bronze gilding.
This artwork beautifully visualizes the concept of "living stories," where long-forgotten knowledge takes root, blossoms, and provides a secret sanctuary for life to thrive.
