Gilded Leviathan

Transforming salvaged waste into a compelling visual narrative, this mixed media sculpture is hand-built using clay, broken mirrors, drift wood, feathers and recycled foundational materials. The intricate, gilded clay framework mimics both skeletal structures and ornate armor, while the inset fractured mirrors reflect the viewer’s own environment back at them. By utilizing upcycled mediums, this piece challenges the boundary between trash and treasure, offering a fierce, beautiful statement on environmental rebirth.
