This mesmerizing mixed media installation features a trio of stylized, aquatic creatures suspended in a vertical hierarchy from a weathered driftwood branch. Each figure is masterfully constructed using a recycled glass bottle as its translucent, hollow core, allowing ambient light to illuminate the depths of the sculpture.
The cool palette of deep aquas, oxidized teals, and rich golds mimics the encrusted treasures of a sunken shipwreck. Hanging from recycled metal chains against the raw, organic form of the driftwood, the triptych serves as a commentary on marine conservation, up-cycling, and the rebirth of post-consumer waste.
